Actuators and Electric Cylinders

Linear actuators and electric cylinders are devices that allow linear movement with a specific speed, force and accuracy.

With the help of electric cylinders and actuators, the problem with the compressor or hydraulic station is no longer relevant, there is no oil - there is no dirt!

Linear actuators consist of an electric motor and a mechanism for transmitting rotation of the motor shaft to rotate a screw pair, then using a telescopic rod device, the rod itself makes translational motion.

The electric cylinder is a fast and powerful rod drive. At its core, the principle of its operation is the same as that of a conventional linear actuator, but it is designed for higher loads and cases where an exact positioned linear movement is required.
The reinforced structure and powerful mechanical transmission provide the drive with a large carrying capacity.
A ball screw transmission enables quick movement of the actuator stem, and a roller screw transmission provides precise positioning. All electric cylinders of the ATU series are equipped with limit switches - they are installed at the beginning and end of the rod (extremely extended position and extremely retracted), they are triggered when the nut reaches one of the extreme positions. Also optionally they can be equipped with hall sensors (for setting the stem stop in the positions you set) and an overcurrent protection system (overload).

Side Actuator Rod Actuators

These actuators have a more compact size due to the fact that the motor itself is placed on its side. The movable element in these drives is the stem itself - a hollow sleeve which is usually round in shape, but there are also complex sections. The progressive movement of the rod is achieved due to the helical pair of sliding. The screw-hook is rigidly fixed to the hollow stem sleeve, and the screw itself is connected to the shaft of the electric motor through the coupling and gearbox. Most often, a brushless DC motor with a supply voltage of 12/24 V is installed on the drives, since this is a small voltage that does not require additional safety features, but it is also possible to install AC asynchronous motors of 220-380 V. They differ in stem diameter (respectively by force), length stroke, range of operating speed.

Linear actuators

They have built-in limit switches. The cylinder body can be made of aluminum T6061, St45 steel or # 304 stainless steel to choose from, and painted in brutal and strict black color. The stem is made of # 304 stainless steel. They differ in stem diameter (respectively by force), stroke length of the rod, and the range of operating speed.

Accessories for actuators and electric cylinders

We have presented various options for control panels. You can divide control panels into two groups: wired and wireless. To control 1, 2 electric cylinders of synchronous and non-synchronous operation, remote controls with positioning of the actuator rod stroke, and a simple remote control for controlling from 1 to 4 linear actuators.

The controllers supplied by us are divided into three groups: 1) A series operating from a power source. 2) Series with integrated transformer. 3) Backup version (rechargeable battery). Further, each group is divided into controllers: for working with one actuator, with two actuators with synchronous operation, controllers for controlling two actuators separately, and a controller for controlling three drives.

Power supplies for our actuators vary in power and output voltage.

Ball Screws

Structurally Ball screw pairs consist of a screw and a nut with screw grooves of a curved profile. The grooves serve as raceways for the balls placed between the turns of the screw and nut. The balls move in a closed trajectory - when the screw rotates, the balls are involved in movement along the helical grooves, translate the nut forward and through the bypass channel (return channel) return to their original position. Return channels are carried out in special inserts that are inserted into the corresponding nut window, according to the number of working turns. The screw is made of chromed stock material.
